Great TV Shows with Behind-the-Scenes Drama

In interviews, we hear about how much a cast and crew of any TV show are like a family or they’re all such good friends. But this isn’t always the case and sometimes those interviews are designed to make it look like everyone gets along. Here are three TV shows that stand the test of time, despite the behind-the-scenes drama we associate them with.
Desperate Housewives
Desperate Housewives is famously known for the off-screen drama that mostly the female cast had with each other. But regardless of the tension that was going on behind the scenes, the show was (and is) still amazing. The actors (adult and kid) knew how to professionally perform like they were all the best of friends. It’s one of those shows or movies you can watch even knowing everything that was going on at the time. I, for one, would like to thank those actors, writers, producers, etc. for making this show and for exceeding our expectations, and thank you for doing it even when the process was getting more and more uncomfortable.
Community
There have been cases where actors don’t get along with the creators of the show that they star in, and Community is one of those cases. SNL alum, Chevy Chase, had many confrontations with Dan Harmon, who created the satirical comedy series. Chase also reportedly didn’t get along with some of his co-stars. We may never know what was going on when the cameras were turned off, but again, thank you to the Community family for making one of the best comedies of the 21st century.
The OC
Believe it or not, a lot of teen dramas (especially, in the early 2000s) had a lot more drama behind the scenes. The OC, one of the more famous teen dramas from the early aughts, was no different. Reportedly, there was a lot of cast conflicts, bullying, unprofessionalism, and a lot of ego-centric behavior especially from the younger cast members (aka the main characters). And let’s not forget Marissa Cooper’s ultimate ending. But for a teen drama that had some very heavy topics (addiction, fraud, victims of abuse, infidelities, etc.), the end result and fans would agree that all that off-camera drama was worth it.
There are many other shows and movies out there that have plenty of behind-the-scenes drama, so I know I missed plenty of them. But do you have a specific show or movie that was particularly drama-filled when the camera was off?
