Bucket List Movies

Most people have a bucket list or things they want to do before they die, but for those of us that don’t, here are two movies that might give you an idea of what to put on a list or even just a mentality of how to live your life.

Jane Austen Wrecked My Life

I went into this movie not expecting a lot. I’ve only ever read Jane Austen books in school for different assignments but I never found much interest in her writings (I know I’m terrible). But this movie did inspire to want to re-read some of her books again, but not because I have to but because for the pleasure of reading her work. The movie takes place in France and England. The aesthetic beauty of a quiet small neighborhood in Paris (I think someone mentions the main character lives in Paris) is breathtaking and reminded me that I’ve always wanted to travel to France but probably in wine country or a small rustic town outside of Paris with the goal of spending a small handful of days in the city of lights. Another goal is to go to England. London would be amazing and of course, there would be no language barrier (other than some different spelling of words or different terminology). But some of my favorite shows are from the UK. Oh, I can’t wait to be rich!

The Life of Chuck

This movie is less of a list of things a person should do before they die and more of a motto to live life by. It’s not about traveling the world or doing something just because you think you should. It’s about living life to the fullest, literally dancing like no one’s watching, doing things just for the h*ll of it. Chances are we’ll all die with some (ok, many) regrets. This movie isn’t about living life with no regrets but living life because we have life.
